This is where I’ll keep a running commentary on all my works in progress.

I’ve decided to wade into the world of self publishing. But being a small business owner for two decades, I was never going to just upload my book to the Bezos machine and hope for the best. Nope, I’ve researched self publishing for well over a year now and I’ve learned some of the hard truths about the indie scene.
Hard Truth 1: Don’t quit your day job – ever.
Hard Truth 2: You have to know why you’re writing. I’m writing because I want people to read my books and I want to make enough money to put out high quality product and pocket a little cash on the side.
Hard Truth 3: If your story isn’t good, or your writing stinks, you’re already done (obvious?)
Hard Truth 4: The business of book sales is a number game. Period. Full stop. Everything else is a hustle targeting authors, not readers. You have to build an audience.
Hard Truth 5: You do not have an audience if you haven’t published already – you have strangers on the internet and well meaning family/friends.
So today begins the year long slog to get my book in front of people. Anyone. Everyone.
The Second Book The Hands that Feed (THTF), has reached the officially done! 104, 498 words! Doing a final copy edit right now, but it’s time to officially set this on the back burner until the end of the year, when I plan to release it.
BUT – The Cover is done! I’ll have a cover reveal in August, I think…maybe…
My Third book in the Hound of the Gods series is currently titled, Mad Dog Mean, and is at a little over 65k in the first draft. I’m about to start the third act.
For those paying attention, I’ve got three published short stories and a horror anthology published in 2025, my first novel is now released in 2026, my SECOND novel being released in late 2026, and a third novel (and hopefully a novella) aiming for a 2027 release.
You can go see my library page to read about them or buy them.
